Default Will a JRSC fit a H22 in an EG+ ?

Hey gang

Just wanted to know if there were any clearance issues with a JRSC and an H22 when installed in a 1993 Civic DX HB?

Anybody with experience with this please let me know.

Thank you

This is a car that i took a Pic of at the Carlisle car show. I doubt that you will be able to fit the JRSC in there..... Why not go with Turbo?

So is that an EK. Sorry, but I am pretty new to telling the generations apart. I really dont want turbo, too many things tell me no about it. I want this for the street, and I want stealth because I dont want somebody seeing a big intercooler and then stealing my car. So, the JRSC will most likely suit my needs and my goal of 220 WHP.

Thanks

I've actually seen a JRSC H22 powered EG. The car moves out like a bat out of hell. I'll ask my friend to check it out because he works with the guy that has it. The only thing he told me he had problems with the axles breaking because of so much power. I really don't think it will be a problem about clearance if you use the mount kit. I like superchargers more than turbo anyway. Be different get the supercharger. I'll check later tonight.

i doubt that it would fit. the manifold is already real close to the firewall. and the pic above is a prelude not an Ek

I've been trying to find this too. No one ever supercharges anymore, and I think that a charged H22 Hatch would be absolutely rediculous just what I'd like to have

it dont fit at all..unless highly modified some wierd way. Take a look at an H22 swaped hatch and see how close the motor sits to the shock tower. No room at all. It would me mean though

That's not a Civic... that's a 97+ Prelude (you can tell by the rad support and the headlights)

They don't fit, unless you cut away some of the shock tower on the car.... and that's with pretty much any bolt-in kit (if you still want a good axle alignment). With firewall clearance, I can't say because I haven't seen a JRSC in a Prelude and see how much further (if any) it goes back, but with a stock H22 intake manifold, you're inches away from the firewall. Your main clearance issues is by the valve cover, where the belts and pulley would go, but the the shock tower is in the way so unless you cut away parts of the chassis, then it's not going to "bolt" right in.

That's an old pict that I took way back when on my old car. I have some better picts, but not uploaded but point being you can see that there's very little room to none for the belt to fit in there w/out touching the shock tower.

Should your friend br breaking axles because of "too much power" - I would suspect this motor/tranny placement is out of alignment, thus causing uneeded stress on some parts, axles just become the weak link.

Well if you were too SC the motor then i hope that you would know enough that you don't run stock axles! Just order DSS stage 3's. That would take care of the issue of the axles.
I agree with Newman.... There appears that there would be almost NO way that you would be able to mount that in the car. But with enough $$ anything is possible.
Run the Turbo. Paint the IC black it would look like a Rad. Unless you STUDY the front of the car your in the clear
