On my slave cylinder, the lottle expanding boot thing is torn. I was told it was fine but I really dont think so. Is it ok if there is a little tear in it or is it supposed to be air tight?
I was trying to get pressure in my clutch pedal but i couldnt. I tried bleeding and all that stuff but it just wouldnt get pressure. I just need to know if it is because of the slave cylinder boot.
Thank you

I dont think a torn boot would do anything like get rid of pedal pressure. I don't even think that the boot could possibly be air tight. Have you checked your master cylinder?
I was told that if there ever is anything wrong with your slave or master cylinder to replace it immediately especially if you have an aftermarket clutch. I guess you dont get enough pressure to the clutch and then in return your clutch will start to slip. just tellin u what someone told me.

nope they are not leaking. Maybe I am bleeding it wrong? Can someone give me some pointers?
I am basically hooking a tube to the drain hole, and tube submerged ,and pumping like there is no tommroow and it is not doing anything
What am i doing wrong or am i skipping a step?

Hook a tube from the drain bolt and submerge the tube in brake fluid. Next have someone depress the clutch to the floor. While they are holding it against the floor you have to turn the drain bolt with a 8mm box wrench and you will hear it squirt out. As soon as it stops squirting, close the bolt back up and tell the person to let off the clutch, sometimes the clutch will be stuck to the floor so you must pull it back to normal height with hands. Keep doing this until a steady stream comes out the tube into the brake fluid. Any bubbles and you must keep repeating the process.

Process takes like 10min.
Just make sure to keep the reservoir full. Don't let it empty out or you will get air in the system and have to start over.
