ive got a 93 cx hatch and i really need a cd player. my buddie gave me his stock one from his 99 Si, but the plug doesnt match on the back? is there any way to make this work? i really need some tunes..

 

easy...

go to your local stereo shop and ask tell the installer that you need the following:

1. 93 honda wire harness (if they use metra parts, it's part # 70-1720)

2. 99 honda reverse harness (metra part # 71-1721)

the installer should know what you're talking about, trust me. then all you have to do is attach the two harnesses together, matching color for color. you might even be able to get the installer to do it for you for free...

when all is said and done, one end will plug into the deck, and the other end will plug straight into the plug in your car.

at best buy, we sell the plugs for $16.99 a piece... should be about the same everywhere else.. might very a buck or two.

 

no offence man but i alone have answered this almost exact question over a half dozen times in the past few weeks, yes it will work if you buy the proper harnesses (70-1720 and 71-1721 are the part numbers of them). please search first. goodluck
