Frist thing my engine light is on and my ecu flash 9 times

second thing is eveytime i start driving from a stop from the passgner front theres a knockin or cunking noise I was wondering could it be the cv joint or boot?

 

have a look under the car and inspect the boot. It should be dry and free from greese. if it has greese on it or if the boots torn and all the greese has come out from inside the shafts need to be replaced, or u can just replace the boot, but that rarely solves the problem, cause if u been driven wid a torn boot then the damage is already dun. I recomend jus replacing them. Good luck
