2000 accord cd player
i just got a 2000 accord 5speed coupe ex-ul model. i was excited about having a cd player in this car, but then i realized that it doesnt play my burned cds that well....does anyone have any clue as to why i can't get them to work.... My next question is ...i am interested in tuning my car up. nothing cosmetical, in fact i don't really want any of that flashy chrome crap or anything, but if i wanted to internal work, what would be the best route to take....everyone says to put exhaust on it, but i don't want one of those tincan things that the retards have at school..
the cd player wont play burned cd's almost at all. As for tuning if you do a search there are a variety of ways from h22's to turbos. the f23a1 is a good engine to turbo.

I'm not sure what to say about whats wrong with it, but I have a 00 EXV6 and the CD player has played hundreds of burned CD's with not one problem. Unless like stated above, they were not finalized. I dont know if there is a different stereo for the V6 or not.
My girl has a 99 EXVL...Her CD player doesn't work at all....it started with just not working real good on burnt CD's but soon........................nothing!!!! All she's is a radio now!!!
I thought that Alpine made the Honda radios / CD players?
I have a '99 Accord which has tape player; I attached an Alpince trunk mounted CD changer which plays all of the CD-Rs I've put in it (it was a lot cheaper for me to put in an Alpine CD changer than to put in a "Honda" CD changer).
If the Honda radio is giving you too much grief, just replace it. You can pick up a nice Alpine for ~ $100 or $200, if you don't mind a model year that is a few years old. Take a look on ebay for the CDA 7839 and the CDA 7863. Both will play CD-Rs without problem, though they won't play MP3s. I have the CDA 7839 in my commuter car.
