boggin, ruff idle , runnin too rich...
hey guys,
i got a huge problem, i jus recently got a motor installed, and everything seems to be workin fine. but its idling very ruff, sounds like a bad spark plug wire or plug, but there fine. all cylinders have compression. i took out all the wires to c if they are runnin ruff w/o and all the wires do so except the 1 st cylinder. if i take the 1st cylinder wire off. it stil runs the same but all the others ones i take off, it misses.
i jus wana know why it misses.... now my check engine lite is on...
please holler at me guys. appreciate it.

How about a little help here. You would be best to include the year and model of the vehicle.
Trying to diagnose it with the information you have given so far ... I would guess that you most likely have an intake gasket that is leaking. If you can get a can of carb cleaner ... spray where the intake attaches to the head and see if it doesn't smooth out. I am betting it will. You might try to tighten the bolts ... but if that does not help ... you will probably be looking at replacing the gasket.
You may also have a problem with the O2 sensor. Will really need more info to try to help you further.

A check egine light is a good indication that you may indeed have an O2 sensor that is bad. I know these do not come on for just O2 sensors ... but reading your post it is a good chance that this may be your problem.
You can take it to a garage ... does not have to be a Honda dealer ... just has to be somewhere that they have an OBDII tester ... and they can retrive the code out for you. A bad O2 sensor will make the car run rough and rich when bad.

The fact that #1 does not fire is an indication that you probably have an intake gasket leaking. Spray where I told you in the 1st post and if that is indeed the problem ... the engine will smooth out. You have to make sure that you get the liquid to flow in the seam where the intake attaches to the head.
