Lowered on 18's
yea..i know i'm going to get flammed for this post
but i have a set of 18's laying around and i'm sick of my stock rims. so i decided to slap them on. i want to get rid of the gap what is the lowest i can lower it without rubbing. anything i can do to prevent rubbing besides getting smaller wheels..
recomend me some springs/shocks/camberkits

well of course the profile of the tire is going to help ... just remimber that 35series tires are very tiny .. and you can ding up your rims easily .. im not sure about the drop... i have a eibach 1.3" drop on 17"s with 40z no rub what so ever ... thats even on a Soft shock setting ..
with that eibach drop .. i could put 18z on with 40s .. and it wouldnt rub with normal driving now .. going over bumps at speeds ... im not sure .. i might have to set my shocks to a little stiffer setting
id say some aftermarket adjustible shocks will defiantely help out if it gets too bouncy and rubs
you can always have the inner pieces of the fender well shaved ... so there is nothing to cut into/rub the tire ... but that prob wont be neccisary with 1.3" drop dunno .. maybe someone runnin more aggressive springs can chime in

well i'm sure you know that after you put on the 18's the car looks like it raised up.
i would say the best way to lower it is to get some coilovers. that way you can adjust it to where it will look the best and where it wont rub. i've got 18's on mine now and there is now rubbing. i've probably dropped it like 2" or more. not really sure thought. when i had less than one finger space in the front, there was some rubbing with one passenger. but now i have a little over one figer space between the tire and the fender and so far there is no rubbing. so i would say measure from the the bottom of your fender to the top of one finger on top of the front tire. that should tell you how much you can lower it. but the back is no problem. there was no rubbing even when the rear was tucked under the fender.

GC coilovers, koni yellows, 215/40/18 tires, no camber kit just dont go lower than like 2.25 inches. thats around - 1.75 camber (I think) or just the maximum allowable as per the vehicle specs.
i have a 95 integra 4door se. i have 35 series tires. yea i'm worried about potholes around town with the 35 series because the streets are horrrible due to snow plows. you think buying all new 40 series tires is a good investment?

i had on 18's before but my car did look hella raised... i tried to drop it but it juss doesn't look good... i'm on 17's now and it looks better... i used to have 1 inch drop on the 18's and it still scraped. besides the fact that it doesn't look good, put some 17's on, and 18's on only if you have a kit.
