Default difference between d15b2 head and d16a6 head?

ok, whats the difference and how do i tell which head i have? the head is on a d16a6 right now, but im not sure what kinda car it came off of. i just broke a connecting rod or something. but i have a d15b2 complete block sitting in my garage im going to put in the car. i didnt think there was a difference in the heads, but people have told me otherwise (like a diff. cam)...thanks

The actual head itself is the same, but the cam/valvesprings (and maybe one other part of the valvetrain) are diff.

is there a stamp on the head or valve train assembly that i can get to tell what it is off of? or do i have to measure the lobs, etc...

it should, the casting of the head is the same. Use the SI head parts though, much better cam.

oh yes it is a better cam, springs etc..

i should know i bought a 91 crx si and i guess the A6 was dead so someone swapped a d15b2 into it and well they kept everything si except the longblock
and revving all the way to 8k rpm on that dx motor made it die within 4 weeks
lol
oh well i wanted to kill it anyway
