Default Moroso Oil Pan

Any one using a Moroso oil pan???? I just finihed taring down my block knowing that I had snapped a rod, and probably needed a new block, only to find out that not only did I put a hole in the block, but I also put a nice one in my oil pan.

I was looking into alternatives to the stock one, and wanted some opinions.

Also, anyone who has one.....any clearance issues or fitment complaints????????

Later,
Aj

There was a recent thread regarding Mugen vs Spoon pans. You might wanna give that a look.

A Moroso oil pan is not a worthwhile purchase.

It doesn't prevent the problem of oil starvation in corners.

Ok, so our options are as follows:

stock oil pan - weld in baffles

moroso oil pan - weld in baffles

spoon oil pan = modded oem

mugen oil pan = modded oem

Anything else?

What are the costs for each of these?

Expect to pay ~$250 for a Mugen/Spoon oil pan.

My vote goes to the Mugen pan if you want something that fits great....looks like it has some thought put into it and will work as promised....

Spoon one looks kinda...uh...homemade...which is good for those who are willing to weld in their own baffles....

There is the FEEL's pan which is similar to the Mugen design but has more baffling surrounding the pickup.

Well, after doing a litlte research on it, and finding out that the moroso one is about $400 new after the pickup, and really doesn't do anything better than the stock one, I think I'm just gonna go with the Mugen or spoon one, havn't decided which.....

I would pick up the Mugen over the Spoon, looks much better and is also cheaper

from my perspective, the mugen pan seems to be a pretty good value.

Does the Mugen pan contain more oil than the stock pan ? The moroso pan contains two liters more. more oil --> cooler oil --> cooler engine --> better reliability

I got the Moroso.

The Mugen oil pan does not hold more oil
it's a modified stock pan
