well, tonight i was driving down the road and diced to give my car a little punch, and i ran out 2nd and 3rd. Nothing big, no mis-shifts, car didnt run strange and thing, after that i let it drop down to idle and its running on about 2 cylinders, i quickly parked and turned it off. i yanked the spark plugs 3 look good, and it looks like i detonated in #2 the insulator is craked off, and the tip is bent onto the electrode. from what i know the insulator part is from detonation, but the tip being bent is what is worrying me. could it have been the insulator getting pushed into the tip when it broke off? anyone had this happen. i dont have time to work on it until tomorrow

oh forgot to mention, h23, ge sleeves, crower rods, arias pistons, arp head and main, stock head, and when this happened the car didnt smoke, and smells normal, nothing visually wrong under the hood, and out the exhaust smells normal(well rich but thats from what ever cylinders arent firing)

I would not start that engine until you bore scope the cylinder to see if all the sparkplug fragments are gone.

 

well, grabbed the borescope today, it all looked ok, then ran a compression check and i got 195 195 0 195 looks like a burnt or partially broken valve
