Default Honda-Tech represented in Las Vegas

Las Vegas got rained out but we did get one round of qualifying. This pix was taken right after Venom pushed an aluminum rod out, caught fire and kissed the guard rail. (They are OK and even got the car fixed by next day.) We had to sit there for an hour waiting for the clean-up to be completed. The car on the left is Tony1's (Kenny Tran) and on the right is Mike (Ninesecrx). Kenny shut off and still ran in the 10's. We left hard but missed the 3rd gear shift. Mike jammed it back into 3rd (losing his boost momentarily) so he hit the high boost switch and the boost knocked the car sideways for an instant. He straightened it out and the run was over before getting it into 4th gear. The funny thing was it still ran over 142mph in 3rd gear.

Everyone was having problems. Lance Ho and EcoTek never made it down the strip. We were qualified 6th with our 10.63 pass

it was unfortunate it rained, but overall a good weekend.

The laskeys car is going to be going seriously fast really soon. Look for it to be extremely competitive (on the west coast and hopefully the east).

The Jotech car... well i really dont know what to say about that thing, i dont think ive ever seen a honda launch nearly that hard. That car is seriously fast. Kenny got off the throttle a bit before the halftrack and it went 10.8, just coasting. That car is fast, and its looks ridiculously fast just sitting there. If you get the opportunity *Definately* watch that car run.

HP racing unfrotunatley had problems with a cracked toyomoto manifold and we were going to weld it for them but ran out of time, and then it began to rain. Overall, cool weekend, and this season really shows how much import drag racing has matured, the cars truly are "next level"

and yeah, the Jotech car is the sickest car I have seen. I know the comp. is going to be fearce this year, but I think they are going to be the ones to recon with.
