Default upper strut bar in my 91 civic is tight

I installed an upper strut bar on the car, but it was really tight against the fuel injection, (1.5L dual port injection) The car seem to drive alot better but when i'm stopped at a traffic light or idling the car seems to vibrate quite a bit. Is this strut bar safe to keep on or should i take it off???

if it has a bend in it make sure it isn't installed backwards, just a thought. Well how tight is it, if theres not enough clearence your dpi is gonna be hitting it when the engine moves.

You're not gaining anything with it (it's all mental), so I'd remove if it's annoying you.

My strut bar didn't fit at all with the DPFI, I had to make a ghetto ABS intake untill I did my MPFI swap. any aftermarket intake won't help on your DPFI because they don't replace the one peice that the bar is hitting.

my sugestion: do an MPFI swap!! and take the strut bar off until you do. your engine flexes when it's running, so if it's tight when your sitting still, then it's really messing things up when the engine's running.

Umm.. are you speaking from experience? It's common sense that adding rigidity to the chassis will result in quicker steering response and better traction in the corners.

not to mention that if you tie the strut towers together in such a literal sense, in hard cornering when the outer wheel "digs in" the strut bar holds the inside wheel down as well, allowing some of the traction to be transferred to the inner wheel.

hondas don't have the most rigid frames in the world, so it's a very good idea even though honda suspensions are pretty stiff and don't "roll" much in corners. you should see the difference a front upper strut bar makes on a volkswagen.
