i was wondering when you guys shaved ur side moldings on ur eg's how far did you let the bondo go up the side of the car

you're not just filling in the gap with bondo are you? it will eventually crack on you... if you do shave your moldings please do it the right way n weld a piece of metal to fill the gap then clean it up with bondo. if that is what you're doing... then good luck... hope it comes out good

 

I'm doing this on my EJ8 but made the mistake of going higher and I'm redoing this. By the way my moldings are welded so that the body filler wont crack. You only need to start from the middle and work your way out until you think it get rids of any lines. Sand and bodyfill as needed and repeat this step until you are satisfied. A RULE OF THUMB, all you have to do is roughly shape the bodyfiller a little lower than needed because you will (and should) be using a quality primer surfacer to block sand any imperfections out.
