Default Do you "BUMP and HIDE"??????

after reading this :
[quote]that's the BEST way to get your system jacked. I never crank up my system anywhere near where I'm going to park.[quote]

from this https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=437453 topic it became clear to me that alof of you are afraid to bump, in fear of people hearing it and stealing your stuff...

so where do you play it?

maybe where i live is different but i bump my set anywhere and everywhere i feel like, i don't see why i should spend time and money to have some bass and trhen be afraid to crank it, and its not that theives arent where i live, jamaica is full of petty theives, but i figure anywhere you bump it people will hear, so why be afraid?
people will break into your car whether or not they hear a set in it, i mean, it sort of makes sense that they would target you if you have a loud set but im still not afraid, maybe if i spent 5 grand on everything (and my stuff wasn't stolen itself j/k) then that would be different..

but i still bump mine, in the ghetto's, at home, every where i want, i refuse to let theives ruin my fun, if they break my car and steal my stuff its not that big a deal, thats why i buy used stuff and look for the best deals!

anyway, no offense to anyone, just want some feedback, do you bump and hid e?

when one lives on a military base, it's a much more secure location.......so i don't mind playing things at an "audible level" on a regular basis.

edit for clarification: i'm not stating that i go around driving with it turned way up just to show off a loud stereo.....simply that i enjoy the ability to be able to have music in my car sounding FAR better than the factory setup, and not having to worry about anything turning up missing.

I bump and hide. When I go to the mall, a school, etc.. But when I go at home I don't, because I park in the garage.

When I have subs in my car, I bump and hide. I only bump while I am rolling. When I get near my destination, the volume goes down. Especially if it is a mall or shopping center.

Everyone on military posts show off their cars.

You can't hear much of anything outside of my car because of all the sound deadening, but I don't really listen to my music loud and my windows are always up. I'll turn it down low outside of my neighborhood when parking, but I'm not too concerned around my house. I don't park in the garage either, if that matters.

army and marines maybe........but i've not experienced this with the air force yet. yes, there's guys here who are proud of their mustangs, z28's, and even a couple super bees--the cool thing is they're supportive of the import performance community. (note i said performance, not sticker ). i've shared my "final plans" of my car with a few of them and they're VERY interested in seeing how it works out. one of the super bee guys actually went to geoff's website (full-race) and was DULY impressed. so i know i'm in good company here.

There will always be sound outside. Less rattling. With windows down it will come out with or without deadening.
