how to get more power out of my b-16?

Default how to get more power out of my b-16?
I dropped a b-16 into my 90 crx, but it feels like it has a vtec lag, what's wrong,, and what can i do to give it more punch.

CTR or 00-01 ITR cams, adjustable cam gears, V-AFC, http://www.hyperducktuning , that is if you have the intake, header, exhaust....get those first!
