Does anyone know if the '00 GSR wiring harness is the same as '00 Civic Si?

 

no.... the gsr is more like the EG style harness while the Si is all one piece that goes from motor to ecu....

 

So I can't use my '00 Civic Si wiring harness for a '00 GSR motor swap?

 

what car are you putting the motor into? and also what ecu are you running?

if you are throwing the 00 gsr motor into a 00 si it will work but you will have to wire in the IAB....

 

its going into a '00 civic si

 

then yes im pretty sure it will work you will have to wire the iab and thats about it.. just curious, why a gsr into an si? did you blow the stock motor?

 

You'll have to use your Si wiring harness since it is going into a Si. Like what jdmDXrex and Hybrid95CivicEX said, you'll have to add wire from your ECU to the IAB. That should be pretty much it, the only other thing you might need to do is lengthen some wires, but i don't think you do. Just match up the Si harness to the GSR motor and you'll know. Goodluck

that sux man.. im glad as hell i dont live in cali anymore, i lived there for 8 years until i was the age 14 now im on the east coast but would love to go back and stay w/ my dad for a little while but i cant ahve my car in the state cause it would be impounded forsure.. good luck getting it all working and passing the smog test
