ok i have a 99ls 5speed. i have just noticed that the car is lagging in second gear. i can gun it and feel a major lag in the motor before about 4000 rpms. i know its not normal so does anyone have any suggestions. im about to get a 45k check-up done at acura (because of warranty they have to do it). is this something i should tell them to fix or do it myself. please help.

 

Tell em.... 50K warranty rocks- I was still getting stuff fixed at 56K on mine under warranty.

Might be the cap and rotor, plugs, wires, clogged intake filter, fuel filter, could be a number of things.

 

brand new intake only three months old, new plugs and wires, and i only have 45k miles. anyone else with some help. and it is only in second gear.
