Default Bumpstop Question

I just installed neuspeed races up front and in back, on stock shocks ( to me, but I cant afford shocks right now), and did not cut the bumpstops.. I can do this on my next day off, but what can I expect from this, any bad symptoms, and will it hurt anything?

its no biggie, if the shock doesn't have enough travel it'll just bottom out.

Right now i'm still in the process of installing GC's and AGX's on my 1994 civic. My front is complete but my rears are still not installed yet. But my experience with the front is that first I had to take the bumpstop guard, (that black condom looking thing) off because it was hitting my coilovers. I also cut my bumpstops in half because it was hella bounce. I kept the larger half. They feel really good right now so I guess it is ok. The only bad things that I have heard is that people say that taking off the bumpstop guard will deteriorate the bumpstop and may ruin the shock. But I have also seen people that are running my setup with no bumpstop guard and a cut bumpstop for 3 years and counting. So I guess it could hurt to find a homemade bumpstop/shock rod guard or something. If anyone knows how to make one, I'd like to know too.

the bump stops are supposed to be cut in half. It wont hurt anything leaving them un-cut you just wont get full suspension travel.
