Sparco race fuel doors?
As most of us know when you loose your gas cap, your gas milage/fuel economy sucks because it is being evaporated quickly. Would I have this problem with this sparco fuel door?

no i didnt ask for opinions; they arent pointless if your stock fuel door stands like a sore thumb and the latch is broken anyway

It would be easier to fix your stock door, since putting on that motorcycle-style cap take MAJOR body work. How do I know? My good friend had to deal with the hassle of getting one put on, and now is having a hell of a hard time selling that car now.
But to answer the question, I believe those caps have a gasket that holds in the fuel pressure when the door is closed and latched. Also when you fill up, you have to hold the pump by hand the whole time, since the cap is not flat on top of a motorcycle gas tank like it was designed to be.

that car got sold friday pat. he didn't get as much from it as he could have tho.
if you want to do a gas cap mod i have one off a 600cc yamaha i will sell for $20. has the key and is brand new.
yes if you leave the fuel cap off your lose pressure in your fuel system and your milage goes to ****. you also get to smell gas fumes in your car all day.
if done right. and not half assed then its ok.
the local shop owner has a sparco cap on his 300z. it isn't done very well and looks like crap. imo
if you do these mods right with a real gas cap then they work. if you half *** them then you will be very sorry.
