Racimex oil cooler install.
Eu gosto de sua instalação do cooler de óleo muito. Trabalho excelente.
Desculpe meu português da conversa do bebê. Eu fui ensinado falar quando eu era um menino novo por minha avó.
Eu estou tentando aprender outra vez porque meu cliente é Banco Comercial Portugues em New York City

I don´t have a oil pressure gauge.
About oil temps, before the oil cooler during hard drive 320 ºF, after oil cooler install never went up than 255-260 ºF.
After install i´ve notice only 0.6 quart of oil to be ok. Not bad.

Oh man, that is not possible 320 F = 160 C!!!!!!
165 - 185 Farenheit (75-85 C) is good

This is right. 160 ºC during very hard drive, it´s not dificult. With the oil cooler during very hard drive never went up than 120º -125º C
oh my god. That is just insane! Is'nt that temp way to high? My gauge shows only 95 Degree C when I drive hard on the Autobahn. Your pistons get cooled with the oil too, is the oil temp realy that high on stock ITRs? What oil do you use? I run 10W60 Castrol RS

I have oil temperature gauge too.
With stock exaust on hot summer (30-35 C°) after 10 minutes of high rev driving (constantly over 7500 rpm) oil temperatures raise to 145 C° max .
After switched to Mugen i/h/e ecu tuned with cam gears, in the same wheater and driving conditions, oil temperature is about 125-130 C°.

160° C is easily possible

160 deg. C is too high indeed. You should keep the oil temp. below 140 C to be safe and use Castrol RS 10W-60 at the track.
With an oil cooler it should be able to remain below 120 deg C.

uhm well, not in my case. 10w60 here!
The thing with 60 oil is a normal physic:
The oilfilm between the parts is more thick... Within this film there are small metal-particles that rub each other ==> That produces energy which leaves as heat. Normal thing. But 60 oil can handle the heat, no problem here.
0W40 can be dangerous in case of beeing burnt very quick.
I did lots of research in these things because I had my old engine running with a lot of problems I tried to solve... Glad to run a strong JDM-OEM stockie again.
10W60+oil cooler gets my vote

Also IF 10w60 can handle that heat..........you have lil power loss from that much heat, cause like Pinota mentioned, the ECU will retard timing, cause it gets to hot in the combustion camber since the pistons are not cooled that much from the oil spray. I would say you better install an oil coller ASAP before you hit the track again......
no worry...
I run RAN to hot with my old engine...
This one gets a 19row oilcooler when the final mods are done...cage, seats and harness, shorter gears... and finally oilcooler.
