Dyno numbers pretty nice, but possibly running the wrong cams
So my list of modifications are as follows....
So i thought....
94 del sol vtec, geezer powered (B18c1)
skunk2 port and polished intake manifold
Hondata intake manifold gasket
CTR intake cam, skunk2 cam gears
unorthodox racing crank pulley
arp head studs
aem short ram
dc sports jdm 4-1 ss header, test pipe
custom 2 1/4 exhaust, ITR muffler
accel plug wires
msd sci ignition w/ blaster 2 coil
b&m fpr, underhood fuel gauge
act street disc, heavy duty pressure plate
clutchmasters flywheel
dc sports short shifter
I dynoed 172.3 hp and 126.9 tq at the wheels.
However, come to find out, i think the shop got a little confused when i told them which cam to put in from my old setup and which one to leave stock, but swap cam gears. I think the shop mistakenly removed my CTR intake cam in exchange for the stock GSR intake cam, and then put my adjustable cam gear on. Then i think the transferred the stock b16 exhaust cam along with the adjsutable cam gear that was already there.
What they should have done was:
1 - Move CTR intake directly over along with adjustable cam gear.
2 - Remove cam gears from both stock gsr exhaust cam and b16 exhaust cam.
3 - Discard b16 exhaust cam, mount cam gear onto stock gsr cam and place cam into the motor.
Does anyone here have any clue as to how much of a possible difference the correct cams would've made?
I'm just curious. I didn't realize all this happened until i picked up the cams from the shop today. I gave what i thought was the gsr intake cam to a friend (possibly the ctr intake cam) and put the exhaust cam in my floorboard. I have to wait til rodney looks up the images of ctr intake markings before i can confirm my suspicions.
