it's pretty much the consensus that AEM is hands-down the best CAI on the market.

Not to say that the AEM isn't a great intake, but there are a couple of things you might want to consider before going CAI. First, where do you live? Second, do you drive your car rsx in the snow? I am from Vermont and had a friend blow up his b18 and upon taking the head off and checking out the cylinders we saw scoring on the cylinder walls. Now I'm no certified tech but to me it looked like his aem cai sucked up some kind of dirt/sand. Now I realize it's not an issue if you live in an area that doesn't get snow or you don't drive your car in the winter. But it is definately something that you need to consider if you value your engine. Just my 2 cents.

i live in so cal so snow wont be a problem. also wont a bypass valve solve the problem of water and other stuff going into the engine? thanks for the advice though i guess ill have to look into more.

it will save you from liquids, but if particles are getting in there then the filter is bad, bypass can't help that

which intake are you refering to? SAI or CAI?
if your asking about CAI, I personally think AEM didn't put alot of time and effort in designing a CAI for the DC5... mainly cause of the washer fluid reservior relocation issue and the fact that you need to cut into the plastic liner to make everything fit
haven't seen the Injen CAI, but somehow, I don't like how "Injen" sounds

uhmm any CAI from a major manufacturer will give you good power on the RSX-S. That said, you should consider the installation process. The AEM does not come with a smaller windshield washer fluid resevoir and requires relocation of the stock unit to the other side of the car, not to mention the splicing of wires. If you're planning on keeping the windshield washer resevoir then this is an issue you should really consider. Also, consider price...AEM is very expensive and isn't that much better than INJEN. The choice is up to you....I ordered my Injen.

AEM makes billet oil caps and cam gears that can slip. there intakes are good because they use K&N filters, there brake pads are good because the use Nissin pads and re-badge them with the AEM name.
Injen on the other hand focuses directly on making intakes and nothing else. Injen hasnt been in the game nearly as long as AEM but yet right now theyre pretty much equal and it comes down to personal preferance.
id rather spend my $ on the Injen

aem cai is the best. I thought it was injen that used K&N filters?
