Hello everybody,

I am trying to gauge what kind of attendance we would get if we run an event at MidAmerica Motorplex in Western Iowa. The event would be either on Saturday, June 7, or Saturday and Sunday June 7-8. Figure pricing to be <U>around</U> $150. What do you think?

Is that track just being built? Or is that an old photo? It looks like someone decided to pave some roads in a corn field

Can you give more specifics on where the track is?

That is a picture from when the track was first completed. I believe this is only their 2nd full season but that all of the dirt you see here is now grass. What track wasn't built in the middle of corn fields?!!!

looks like a fun track. i'd go if i was in the area... but it looks like an overgrowth of excess corn on turn 15.

there's a thread not too long ago about gathering interests for this track. Wes (White Dragon) has close relationship with this track (he instructs there too) and we were talking about having a track day there.

From what I remember, there were quite a bit of people (me included) were interested.

 

Wai is correct. Wes is up in Omaha & he 'da man' for MAM. If it looks flat in the picture YOU ARE CORRECT! However, that doesn't mean that it's not a tough course.

I know there are a couple of us in KC that are looking for an excuse to run there. **it was locked up last weekend, so we couldn't even peek except for driving by on the highway**

 

If you want corn field - just drive to their other drag strip! It's about 30 minutes on gravel INTO THE MIDDLE OF A CORN FIELD - REALLY!

 

Many of us Milwaukee/Chicago guys posted here already, https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=412894 to drum up interest last month. As I posted in the other thread, I'd love to go.

I would definetely be interested, but only if a few locals in the midwest would want to caravan. Unfortunately I have to miss the Gingerman event in April because of school, so this might just be the right time.

I am there! Wes would love to help out in the organizing but he is out of the country right now. I will clue him in when he gets back.

 

Did he go to Ireland?? If I remember correctly, he was going to possibly visit Ireland for a while.
