for some reason in the last few days, my check engine light comes on then a few days later it turns off, and so on and so. Its done it about 4 times so far and i have no idea what the hell the problem is. I know the light isnt burned out cause when i turn the car on the light flashes. Please help?

 

well first off i would find out what code you are throwing.

 

my car was doing that for a while throwing codes 71-72-73-74 and I later found out I had major damage to my block. DAng Nitrous. oh anyways when It blinks like that it means a missfire code. You problably got bad gas.

 

Jump it and read what codes it's throwing. The codes will be stored in your ECU and when your MIL blinks you'll be able to decipher what is possibly wrong.

 

im not exactly sure what number the cose is but i remember it saying that i have an EVAP canister leak. I already checked the gas cap, i checked the different solonoids connected in the gas system, i checked the actual evap canaster. Ive taken it to a local shop and they cant find out what the problem is.
