Clutch Question
My sister got a GSR a while back, I just got to drive it today. The clutch is totally different than mine. Its a lot harder to push in, which leads me to believe it may have an aftermarket clutch. The other thing is that is engauges very late when I'm letting off the clutch. Is this normal for an aftermarket clutch? Or is her clutch going out?
My stock clutch in my GSR is a lot softer and engauges a lot sooner when letting off the clutch.
I don't know what a bad clutch feels like or acts like, so if someone could inform me.
Thanks

I talk to a friend he said its slipping.
I also called around a few places, The Clutch Doctor, advised me not a get a ACT clutch because its just a renamed Daiken clutch.
Daiken = Excedy right? Daiken is OEM parts?
Anyway clutch doctor said $430 installed stock clutch.

i have a 94 gsr
my stock clutch was garbage but it did the job, but there wasnt really any presure...
it also let off relativly late (high)
so i had my master and salve cylender replaced casue they were shot, and also had my act street strip and jun 10 lb lightend flywheel put in...
feels great theres alot of presure and still lets off jsut alittle bit lower than b4, but it was checked everything is brandnew and to be honest i like when it lets off higher anyway. but it grabs awesome!...
and fully ingages instantly...

When a clutch slips the revs climb but the car doesn't move while in gear. This can continue for quite awhile as the clutch dies slowly, but eventually the car will not move at all and/or the clutch disc will come apart completely. ACT makes great clutches, Exedy is OK too. If it were mine and I were opening it up I'd go with an action segmented kevlar clutch and fidanza aluminum flywheel. I paid about $600 for this great duo for my GSR.
