Default Mugen Intake GB... interested?

Due to the response I've had from my post concerning the intake install, I asked David at R&D if he would be interested in hosting a Group Buy for the Mugen intake.

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=376228

He said if enough people were interested, he would be willing to host one. How much of a discount? That won't be determined until he has taken a list to King Motorsports to show that the #'s are there.

So, I have agreed to compile a list of interested parties and then give it to David once the #'s look good.

We need at least 5-10 people... if you are serious about purchasing this please IM me and I'll make a list of interested parties. In the IM please state your real name along with your H-T SN, so I'll be able to sort things out in the future.

To make this clear, I have no financial gain or interest in this and I'm doing this due to the high level of interest the post has generated. Getting Mugen stuff at a discount is fairly difficult w/ King controlling the pricing of the products in the states.

Now is the reason Mugen stuff is so expensive is because King has a monopoly on Mugen parts in the US, so they can charge whatever they want... or is Mugen stuff really expensive in Japan too?

Expensive stuff regardless. Looks like lots of R&D time went into this intake, which would explain the price.

I'd say it is worth it for sure.!

I believe Mugen parts a a litle less expensive in Japan. Part of the reason for the hefty price tag is the extensive research that goes in to their products.

You could find some parts a little cheaper in Japan, but by the time you're done paying shipping and customs, comes out to around the same price. I've ordered a few things from Japan.

Mugen sets the pricing, not King Motorsports. Mugen is expensive wherever you purchase it.

just an update... there are about 5-6 people interested and are on the list. a few more and I'll submit the list to David from R&D so he can approach King for pricing.

Now is the time to get in on this to lower the per unit cost. If you think you might be interested or might know of someone who is, please IM me.

thanks,
kelly
