Default post your TURBO SETUPS here

go ahead. the title is pretty explanatory. try to include your total costs, dyno runs or claimed hp,
and any good sites or info.
which is better, to buy a missing link or make one with the t-fittings and check valves?
also how much boost do you think i could run(d16a6) on 9:1 pistons and stock rods(maybe shot peened) with good head gasket?

87 CRX, stock motor, HKS Stage 3 kit. Fuel is pfc-fcon and infectors, along with an AFC. Having it tuned in a few weeks

95 Civic, soon to be SOHC Turbo. It is a 1.5L mini-me and I am going to hit up the A'PEX kit. Seems really complete and has a nice turbo.

as soon as i get a job, i'm going to go with:

hf or std manifold
custom plate
first gen dsm turbo
better rings (not sure yet, needs new ones anyways)
thicker headgasket
dual mitsue side mount IC's (one mounted on each end of bumper)
stock wastegate "modified" for about 7 psi
turbo xs bov (loud as fawk )
then i'm gonna probably do a check valve setup or maybe an afc hack

91 Civic Si
JDM B16a
Endyne 9:1 pistons Ceramic coated tops and sides
Eagle rods
Micropolished Crank
ITR cams
ITR intake mani
JG 64mm Throttle Body
FMax Manifold (SOLD!)
Garrett 50 trim compressor/48 exhaust 4/3 Hybrid turbo (Broken and SOLD!)
Turbonetics Deltagate 7 PSI spring
Custom Crappy 2.25" Downpipe (Broken!)
Full Stainless Thermal 3" exhaust w/ a custom test pipe
Spearco Water/Air intercooler
Venom 550cc injectors
Z-Dyne Gold SECU

232 at the wheels, 180 ft pounds of torque at the wheels. Super Sleeper style. It's ALL under the hood.

FYI, the dyno is kinda weird. That was at 15 PSI, but on a SMOKING BADLY, and on a turbo with VERY worn seals and bearings. It made a super high amount of backpressure, which caused the high torque early, but it never got better. The turbo, manifold and DP are off the car now, and are being replaced as soon as funds arrive.

88 crx si, sohc vtec
t3t4 50 trim, tial 35mm wg, powerstroke fmic (modified to fit), 440 inj, afc hack, 2.5" dp, msd6btm, drag manifold...
made 302hp 251tq@16psi and ran 11.8@123...
blew the motor 1 pass after the 11 sec pass because i decided to turn the boost up over 20psi hehehehehe... all on STOCK INTERNALS!!!!!

this is hwat happens when you go for over 20psi and 7500rpm's on stock block... it held the whole way down the track but right after i passed the traps it let go, it was pretty fun and pulled like a monster...

rod broke into 5 pieces including the cap as 1 piece.

Nothing is instaled on the car allready, I gather the peice and will put them to gether probably by the end of next summer.

Garret blower ( not buyed yet but looking toward the t3/t4 )
ferrera ss valves,
Crane valves spring
Titanium Retainer,
Je or Wiseco pistons, ( low compression style )
ARP head stud
Eagle rod
edge cutted, ballanced cranck shaft
some kind of adjustable camshaft pulley
Equal lenght Manifold, SS, (TAPP auto)
Turbo XS waste gate
Turbo XS blowoff valves
MSD ingnition
Denso plugs
HKS turbo timer
AEM EMS ( not shure yet about the possibilities)
Alu or SS charge pipe ( not decide yet )
Act clutch / pressure plate
ATS final Drive
Bigfatty FIMC

I got a damn list, I know, but this is the setup I hope I will be running by the end of the next summer. It goes on a D15B engine. Hopping to put over 300 Whp.

Now I need money cause this is a freacking costly hobby!!

When I started buying stuff for the B16 I had to pretty much to decide whether to go NA or FI. The NA route seemed very long and without modifying the bottom end the highest I could get was 190 I think. This is 10hp short of my goal, the B16 pushing the T3 snail should put me up and above the 200 mark.

You still totally have a chance though, some of the stuff I've read lately is really making me miss the 2 D16A6's I pretty much gave away. With the same amount invested in those little guys they could have been pretty tough competition.

If I had it all back to do again.... I think I'd build a nice 2.1/2.2 Liter B series stroker for some all motor fun. My friend's here with a VERY basic tune on it made 215 AT THE WHEELS.

And it's a daily driver, on pump gas.
