im going to get a tv tuner for my alpine,should i just get a vcr that has a tuner in it,and use a coax antenna,or is it better to get the satndalone tuner that uses the diversity antennas?i already have a dvd player,i dont really care to have the vcr for anything than tv tuner purposes.who has experiance with these things?

 

If you don't need the VCR, then get the stand alone tuner..no sense adding a component for just one feature.

id like to know which one is the best quality of antenna,the coax type or the diversity type.i can probably get the vcr cheaper than the satndalone,but they use a coax type of antenna.

 

diversity is a bit better, but placement is key. Either will work fine.

ttt means "to the top"
the main reason ask these questions ,is it seams that i can get a vcr with tv tuner cheaper than just getting the standalone,so id rather find out which one works best,the standalone peices go for about $130-$150 on e bay with 4 channel diversity antenna,vcr's with tuner are about $75.
