Default what is the best intake manifold?

i want to buy an intake manifold for my 97 gsr...i heard the most power gains will be high end...does anyone know if i will lose power low end...and does anyone have any recommendations on which brand is the best...so far i always hear about skunk2's intake manifold...maybe if someone has it they could tell me what they like and what they dont like about it....thanks

well i have the skunk2 mani. you don't really gain much from the low end, but once you hit vtec, it'll pull harder. but you should have other things to go along with it, like cams, and other bolt ons, cause otherwise it won't do much for a stock motor.
i'd go with the skunk for N/A but the JG seems better suited for turbo.

Damn dude, you're a smart ***. Anyway, Skunk2 and JG Edelbrock have nice IM's. Be sure to pair it with a VAFC...

Again, it depends on what you are doing to your engine.

You think an IM that does great for mild engine work, will work great for hard core interal work, or forced induction? No, absolutely not.

What do you plan to do to your car when it is all set and done? where do you want your powerband? how much peak HP are you looking to have?
