new rs*r exhaust
whats the difference between the new rs*r exhaust and the old school ones? the new one can be viewed at http://www.rs-r.com the only thing i can tell is that the tip is connected directly to the muffler. the old school ones looked like the tip was connected to a small tube and then the tube connected to the muffler. I also heard the new ones were a little louder...anyone know about that?
don't know much about the new exhaust they are now offereing inthe US.. but the EG-MAG looks simliar to the older products they use to sell here...basically they have always tried to make there street exhaust systems.. well for the street.. quiet and functional.. while there track systems ..are made purely for performance and not for everyday use
i believe the old ones were full stainless steel. and new ones have that coating all way to the muffler. it looks as if the design has changed slightly, well comparing the pics ive seen of old style and the ones on the site.
From the pictures, they look identical. I bought one of the last RS*R stainless DC muffler sections from TurboImport.com and they said the new ones are supposed to be louder, but they are not available yet. How they know that they are louder is beyond me.

Man I've heard of the RS*R exhaust systems being nice, but to see it with my own eyes. There so beautiful, especially that Carbon Fiber exhaust. How much do these run for. Especially the one with the all straight piping?

I agree, when I bought my rs*r and took a look at it with my own eyes, I just started drooling, hehehe, after install, sound is almost stock at 3k and above, idle has a nice low drone, not over bearing, one of the best investments I've made to my car.
