Default need cheap alternative for muffler!, summit turbo muffler??

Well my stock muffler has some holes in it, and i need a quick alternative. I'm going turbo sometime this year, and I refuse to spend alot of money on a catback or decent muffler. I was looking through Summit Racing and noticed their Summit Turbo Muffler.

It is a oval style muffler. This is what I would like because i want to retain the tail pipes and probably paint the muffler high heat black. This is for a g2 integra. Well the cost for these mufflers is 14-20 dollars and that is hella cheap.

has anyone had any experience with these? I just dont want to slap it on and have it sound like complete ****. If its pretty quiet, then that would be fine, because its just lasting me until i get something nice.

For 14-20 dollars can i do better with something elsE?

Funny you should ask. I've been thinking about placing a turbo muffler on my car, a '95 GSr. The local muffler shop would build me a complete bolt on rear section with a Dynomax turbo muffler for $89. My stock muffler would stay intact. In your case it may cost less if they use your stock rear section pipe and flange. Alot of ppl here say the ES Oval is a good mufflef ($90) that may be above your budget for this project. The local auto parts store here sells a thrush turbo muffler for $25; it may actually sound good, especially for the money.

i know people always say, you get what you pay for, but it seems like a decent product, and its just temporary. But i'd rather it not sound like ****.

i got a 2.5 catback with dynomax superturbo 2.5 in and dual out. but hey if you are going turbo you would want a car-back exhaust so why not just get that catback first and save up more for turbo.

dude, if i were you i'd juss patch up your hole in the muffler and save up for a real muffler. those old school glass packs don't cut it anymore. they're hella whack. why spend about 20 bucks on something your gonna replace when you could use that 20 to start saving for a muffler that your gonna need. if i were you i would be concentrating on getting the car prepared for a turbo setup... but if you want to go ahead and get that, that's cool... juss some advice. i'm not your momma.

my cat-back cost around 300 installed with muffler if you loook around you'll probably find it cheaper, the welding and labor was the expensive part.
