Like you said...None...
but then again, I don;t know about the stifer compression of the Tokico's. You may have to run something to keep the inside front on the ground..

well, one reason to keep that inside front planted is to keep the wheelspin to a minimum. with heavy steelies+azenis+70hp, i dont think that will be a problem unless its wet (so was the case @ vir full). plus wouldn't a bar want to pick the wheel up, not push it down? just tryin to understand.

it really depends on what feels good for you. i use an itr front bar on my car, shennefield and tipple both used stock 21mm bars. i think my car feels better with the 24mm bar. i tried running with no front bar early in the season and didn't like it at all. the car felt like it was responding too slowly. my suggestion would be to find a stock front bar and see how changing just the bar effects how the car feels for you. if you like it, maybe try finding an itr front bar and trying that too, though i would start to worry about that big of a bar with only 400lb front springs. i ran 600 fronts last year and i've got 700 fronts this year.

I don't auto-x but on the road course I use no front bar 650lbs F 900lbs rear and a type-r rear 22mm sway bar on my 89 civic std. I tried the front bar on the track and yes the car "feels" like it responds faster but I found that it pushed and was lifting the inside front even with 750 front rates. MAYBE on the auto-x the quicker resonse is more impotant than be able to get on the power early out of the turn. But I found it to be of no use on the track it was just extra weight that didn't need to be there

If you have a serious LSD the I would say go for it but otherwise IMO I say don't use it.

But obviously some people like solo-x have found a way to make it work for them...so its up to you to try and see what you like but if you can get the same times without it then your car will be better off as the front bar isn't exactly the lightest piece.

again just my opionion

You know my story...

Had an Eibach front bar (25mm) and rear bar (17.5mm), used to get adequate amounts of wheel lift.

Now I have no front bar and a Type-R rear bar and the front wheels never lifted again.

Unless they're small (<19mm) or hollow, I believe they're more of a hinderance and the handling characteristics can be changed with shock valving and spring rates...

...But what do I know?

I personally prefer the car with a little softer front end and a little slower in response. It's not that it responds slower to input, but if you make a mistake, it's slower to get away from you. Might not be the ideal setup, but is much better than the stock DX front bar, with the ST rear bar at full stiff. Also the car "feels" flatter, not like it's pitching around alot, maybe because it actually IS transitioning slower. I ran the ST bar full stiff until I welded in a 4pt roll bar for the Glen, then the rear tightened up so much, I reduced the rear bar to the middle setting, but stayed without a front bar. I needed to reduce the rear bar, because whether it was late in the season and cold, or just co-incident after the Roll bar was installed, the rear seemed to get away from me more easily. I couldn't keep the car under during braking and always had to catch it before getting back on the throttle. Before I removed the bar, I played with the shock settings, but full soft wasn't soft enough and I was real hesitant to run 15psi difference in the front to rear tire pressures. (even though that has worked WELL for some)..

Spenc-,
You coming to the test and tune this weekend??? Limited to 40 cars, lots of runs for $40...plenty of time to work things out..Need to pre-register though...
