Default bottom end worth it?

i got a deal on crower rods and srp pistons for $500. they're brand new and the pistons 25 oversized and forged. my dilemma is is it worth getting to stay all motor? i have a z6 witrh port/polish, web cam, cam gear decked head and decked block. the motor is out of the car and torn apart. i don't plan on spraying so isn't the stock bottom end enough? i heard from this old timer mechanic that i shouldn't get it for daily driving because they weren't made for that. he said the pistons would probably be fine, but billet rods should go in car thats either seing track duty or forced induction. he has a point but this is great buy. the pistons are also stock compression so with my decking that got done it will only be about 9.5:1. but the oversize will give me more torque. the guy selling the stuff needs an answer ASAP or its going in ebay. what should i do??? OR

hes full of ****. the new rods are stonger than the stock ones. this doesnt dictate wether or not you can use them on the street. thats like saying ARP head studs are only for the track b/c they're stonger.

if the pistons are oversized, im asumming youd have to do a bit of machineing of the sleeves to get them to fit. id say go for it. however that c/r is low for an NA setup. id boost it

make sure to use ARP rod bolts tho, not stock ones. no point in having built internals and crap bolts.

that's the thing. i'm basically putting this motor in just until i'm done with my n/a b16. that's where i'm going all w/ c/r and head work. i was thinking if i'm satisfied with the d series i'll keep it. i'm not interested in turbo, supercharging, or nitrous. still worth it?

that's retarded, why would you buy something for an engine that you aren't even going to use. It's not like it's a needed part, just use your stock stuff until you get your b16 going. spend the money on the b16 not the old engine.
