from http://www.redlineoil.com/redlineoil/mtlti.htm ,

MTL also satisfies motor oil viscosities SAE 5W/10W/30, and the viscosity requirements for ATFs.

okay, is that what our trannys take? MTL? I saw a thread where people were laughing at a guy for putting MTL in his tranny!

I am confused!

mtl will be fine for your car, but you can also use mt-90.

theyre both GL-4 spec. tranny fluid.

Some members here believe Redline Mtl will hurt your transmission. I tried it before and it made my shifting worst as in "notchier" shifting.

Hondas generally take the mtl according to redline....especially if you have a factory lsd (like a type r trans)....the mt-90 is not designed for honda factory lsd's. I got this info from my local redline rep.... he is pretty knowledgable...and I have been running thier mtl in my personal tranny since I did my ats 4.9 final drive with no problems what so ever....I actually like the redline better than the honda fluid.....hope this helps you out.

Well, I put the redline tranny oil in, and it feels like CRAP! Very notchy, and every gear I can feel the synchros meshing. Not good. That was a big waste of $27. Bummer. Now I need to get the Honda MTF and redo it. This sucks. Oh well, it is only $27 right?

Still sucks.

Ya, ya, ya. I know, you told me so.

It worked so great in my Maxima though!

Maximas take MT-90, Hondas take MTL. I would not get them backwards if I were you.
