Your buddy bought a supercharger from me last week.

I also sent him a free pair of Altezza taillights just to annoy you as that's all you'll ever see of his car.

SOHC 2v? 96-98 or 99+?

If it's a 96-98, well, those are disappointing. A lot of the problem is the weight of the chassis. To those of us used to the pull of the 5.0 Fox-bodies, the overweight 4.6 SN95 feels like a total slug. The 99+ is considerably better though.

A friend of mine is planning on dropping a 98 DOHC 4v modular in his '92 Fox body coupe. That should be real fun.

Mustang fan.

But why? Why not spend less to get more power out of a 5.0?

Tell him to find a Lincoln Mark VIII motor instead. Cobra mod motor with a different intake and without the premium price tag.

That's what I would do.

He already has the 4v modular lying around, and he wants to do something different. A few years ago Ford was offering big payouts to guys running mod motors (they wanted to accelerate acceptance of the new motor). Don't know if they're still doing it, but I think that's why he picked up the 4v.

I helped him put together his last motor: a nitrous-huffing 331 stroker with victor jr. heads, edelbrock IM and other goodies. Sucker ran high 10s in a 93 GT.
