both are going to give about the same amt of gains...in fact most exhausts on the market will do the same depending on other applications...it really comes down to matter of preference of looks and sound. I have the N1 and like most will tell you, it's loud as ****. Really depends on what you like..the greddy evo is def a good exhaust though...with this matter...id say go with what you can find cheaper...www.groupbuycenter.com they're both there

I have an EVO and i have never gotten any complaints - it is a deeper sound than most exhausts that i have heard. The only complaint i have - is that the tip is a little big, but other than that I love it.

here is a close up of the tip -

I just bought my greddy evo probably 3 weeks ago put it on and love it to death. it has a great smooth deep tone all the way through the revs. i just teamed it up with a dc 4-1 header the other day and im really impressed with it. great buy i found it for $460.12

i bought it off of No Limit Motorsports. no that price wasnt shipped. i bought it with the header for a total of $60 shipping. the header weighed 19lbs and the evo weighed 39lbs so it was probably around $40 shipping which still is cheaper than what i found the N-1 for which is usually $550

i say N1. i love mine, and if you buy the catback i believe it comes with the silencer if you worry too much
i noticed you're in So Cal too. let me know which exhaust you want and I can get you a competative price

EDIT: heres a pic of mine

im torn between the two. some say the N1 is just obnoxiously loud (loud enough to justify wearing earmuffs?) and some say they love the sound. Anyone have any sound clips for these exhausts?

my friend has evo on his 2dr accord, and my nieghbor has n1 on his gsr, all i have to say is the n1 might be a little louder, but my friend with the accord still has his exhaust, my neighbor got 2 tickets for his n1, and it sold on ebay 2 weeks ago..
