FWD racing cars use bigger wheels up front and the size down in the rear. I know the JUN civic runs 225/40/16's up front and 195/50/15's in the back.
Can you say.. GRIP!

Do you road race? If not, then why?
Japanese tuners run front heavy spring rates, and use tire size to tune in more/less oversteer. They usually run 16/17's in the front and 15's in the back. The increased slip angle in the rear gives more oversteer.
Drag racers on the other hand run smaller wheels up front to allow more sidewall flex. This helps the lauch by allowing the tire to "grab" the ground instead of slipping.

Well this kinda makes sense. You would want your 15" Rotas or whatever in the front because of the less weight and could run whatever out back because they aren't the drive wheels (although the added weight wouldn't help). this sounds ok for someone who buys 2 lightweight wheels with Azenis tires to replace the stock fronts (this is someone on a budget of course)
i actually have 17s in front and 18s in rear....

Doing this to a front wheel drive car to imitate that look is a little ricey. Not horrible...I mean, it's not offensive to the eye or anything, it's just a ricey concept.
Can you people not read??? I think zer0zer0 TypeR, Regal, and myself explained the physics of this whole deal.
Actually, nevermind...this is the appearance forum. What do you guys care about performance anyways...

ARE YOU ****** SERIOUS?! you're comparing a fwd car to a rwd car?! you goddamn moron, the reason why they got bigger tires in the back and not the front is because they need more rubber in the back for rear wheel drive and handling purposes you stupid *** noob. If you don't know ****, don't post **** trying to defend yourself pretending like you know something. I suggest you never post on HT again until you know what you're actually talking about you dumbshit.
Now I'm wondering how bigger wheels would look back there the Honda were RWD.
