Default airbag switch

I am putting airbags in my civic. the old ones were blown out and I am replacing them with used ones but not blown ones. does anyone know if i need the contol module? orf should i just put the new bags in and not worry about it?

i'd say that if you put the new bags in and the srs light doesn't come on you're good to go. I've never messed w/airbags though, they scare me.

It is recommended to replace the control module as well in the Honda manual. I am guessing that if you are going to the trouble of reinstalling airbags you would want them to work next time around, I would finish off the job right by doing the control module as well..
