Need help with B16 swap, I think I'm Retarded....
I am in the middle of doing my B16 swap, this is the first swap i have ever done
what i have done so far, is i have removed the stock motor and cleaned up the engine bay
I am have a problem with 3 things at this point:
1. I purchased the hasport shift linkage, but it did not come with instructions, I can't seem to figure out where they bolt up to
I figured out where one of the 2 shafts go to the motor, but thats about it, i can't figure out which way is up, like i said, i am retarded
2. I also can't seem to figure out where the speed sensor is, i found it on my old motor, but i don't have the slightest idea where it is on the new motor, did I mention I am retarded
3. I can't seem to find good wiring tips, i know which pins i have to replace on the ECU, however, i can't seem to figure out what they connect to (where is the vtec solenoid, or where do i connect the wire to? etc.)
if there is anything else i should know about please let me know
BTW: i have a B16A with a y1 tranny and PR3 Ecu, and it is trying to go into a 91' CRX HF
any help would be great
Thanks Guys

there are a lot of sites that list what wires to modify to run the new computer. you should be able to find it on hasport's site.
as for the speed sensor, they are in the same spot on both motors. look on top of the transmission, above where the axles go in.
some helpful hints for putting the motor in:
remove the front bumper, radiator, and hood latch support. open the whole front up, this will help the new motor go in easier.
put the rear motor mount bracket on the transmission before dropping the whole thing in, hand tighten the bolts in case you need to pull the the bracket back off.
install the rear motor mount on the subframe, and bend the lip of the subframe down, directly in front of the lip. this will give you some more room to move the motor around while you are dropping it in.
when it comes time to put the motor into the engine bay, lower the transmission so that the top of the motor is at about a 30 degree angle compared to the ground. the purpose of tipping the motor this far is to clear the transmission side motor mount.
order to connect motor mounts: rear, transmission side, driver's side.
drop the motor in and get the bolt through the rear motor mount, hand tighten.
lower the motor more, if necessary, to clear the transmission side mount. place the transmission side motor mount in place, and the three bolts on it by hand. the bolt that will line up directly under the mounting point will take a while because you can only move it about an 1/8th of a turn at a time.
finally, the driver's side mount. this may take a little bit of prying to make the bolt line up.
as for the shift linkage, there is a post that is about 2 centimeters long and 2 centimeters wide, this is on the bottom, side of the transmission, next to the header. the end of the shift linkage will have a large circular bushing, this goes onto the post.
once the bushing arm is on the trans, push the shift handle back up into the center console and bolt the linkage back up with the 2 twelve millimeter bolts. have someone get in the car and push the shifter into the third gear position, and line up the swiveling end of the linkage onto the shift selector rod coming out of the trans. a little WD40 will help the linkage line up with the selector rod properly.
that's all for now, folks.

just have someone who knows how put it in!!! its hard, but i did mine with my dad.
Thanks for the tips 2ndhand, I really appreciate it
one more question i have is, what intermediate shaft am i supposed to use, i have a whole set of 88 integra axels and it has an intermediate shaft on it, it goes into the tranny, however it does not line up with the bolt locations
which one should i get?
