Default Best headers 4 N/A setup

Which header is the best for an OBDI GS-R with an all-motor setup. Mods already included are powercore race cat, aem cai, apex-i ws exhaust, and b&m short shifter?

I agree.
I disagree. JDM 4-1 is a major bottle neck if you plan on getting serious with n/a power.

It all depends upon your ultimate goal...a header for a 2.0L engine wont work all that well for a 1.8L, and a header designed to run up to 9,500rpm doesn't do all that well at 4,000rpm...I choose HyTech.

Is a 4-1 better for N/A or a 4-2-1. What is the advantages?

4-2-1 gives you more midrange. 4-1 gives you top end. Think about it, when you race, you are at high rpms, shifting at high rpms, and staying at higher rpm levels more, so it would be more beneficial to get a 4-1 header.

I already see problems with going JDM 4-1. 2.5" collector with a 60mm exhaust. Do you want to step down the exhaust system as you get farther away from the engine? Definetly not.

For a mild build up, jdm dc 4 to 1. For higher displacement, cams, etc., hytech.

Wheres the step down???? Its called a 2.5" collector but is in fact only 60.5mm (2.38") so theres no step down from collector to exhaust.

OE JDM 4-1 or DC JDM 4-1

How aggressive do you think your setup will be, cam-wise?
How often do you think youll track it?

The only exhaust component that is measured ID, is catalytic converters.

Which means a 60mm exhaust is measured OD, so it is not 2.38" to match the 2.5" collector. There is a step down.

runnin comptech race headers on my all motor gsr and i love it, it's a 4-2-1 with 2.5 in collector. got the header and the test pipe installed for 1000, pretty decent price for great power. that's my .02 cents

yeah.

I believe there was a huge Header Comparison on the internet, but the site took it down. They tested tons of headers and Toda put out the most HP. I dont think they tested HyTech or SMSP tho.

How much does a HyTech header cost? I've never seen online pricing for them. The Toda is like about 900 bux or something.
