so anyway.. im driving home from work today and i notice this sound coming from my passenger side front tire and im just thinkin great.. i just did all this suspension work and now something broke.. well i get home take out the jack to jack the car up and see if there is anything noticeably wrong. I jack the car up and go to take the lug nuts off and i find im missing one... so i goto the next one and its really loose then the next and its also loose but my wheel lock is tight. Now i will admit its possible the lug nuts came loose but its a little hard to believe all 3 normal ones just came loose and the wheel lock itself stayed tight. Thankfully i have 4 extra lug nuts from when the wheel locks went on so i just put a new one on tightened them all up and now its as good as new... you would think they would look for wheel locks before they waste their time undoing all the other nuts but whatev.. im just glad i didnt loose my rims. Just wanted to share.

 

Hey man, about a week after I bought locks, I went out one Sat. morning and drove my car around the corner from my apt. to wash the car. Well as I was drying I noticed one tire only had that ONE lock holding it on! Three lug nuts were gone. Good thing I only drove it down around the corner, I might have been in trouble. Thankfully I also had the 4 extra nuts from when putting on the locks, so I just replaced the 3 missing one.

 

its nice to know im not the only one.. my car came with wheel locks but the dealership did give me the 4 original ones so i had something to replace it with also. Im tempted to get a 2nd set of wheel locks and have 2 on each rim. Im aware its over kill and will serve no better perpose but i just worry that if they take all 3 off and i dont notice something worse could happen.

You have no idea.. a part of me wishes i have but the logical part fears i would have ended up in jail once i finished with them. I dont take kindly to people leaning on her let alone trying to steal things off of her.
