Default H&R Sport and Koni Yellow Heights?

Ok, if you haven't guessed, my car is on H&R Sports and Koni Yellows.
I live in the hills, so my car scrapes a LOT, even without a front lip. I want to raise the car in the front via the 3 perch settings, currently it's on the middle perches.

I have 3 choices I guess:
1) Raise the front
2) Lower the rear
3) Raise both

Would the car look odd if I did 1 or 2? I forgot how much of a difference each perch setting is. Here are some pix to give you guys an idea of what it's like now...

Any helpful input would be great, especially from those with my same setup?

I personally think it looks good with the back slightly higher than the front, so I'd say raise the front a little and the back a little bit more than that. Or just put the back up a little and leave the front the same, but if you do that I'd guess it will probably still scrape.

I'm pretty sure the stock perch height is the highest you can go on the Neuspeed Konis, and I know that for sure on the regular Koni yellow shocks. With H&R Sports and normal Koni spring perches set at stock in front and lowest in back (15mm lower from stock), this is what mine looks like:

I can't go any higher in front, but I could go as much as 30mm higher in back (15mm higher than stock perch height). I also scrape my bumper from time to time, but it's black so I don't care.

Really, I thought there were more perches available, but I guess I am wrong.

PatrickGSR94 - are those 205/50/15 tires? Somehow your drop looks different than mine.

yep 205/50-15... I just got new Yokohama AVS ES100's in that size, they look and perform HELLA better than those Nankangs I had before. Here's the only pic I have, after it was hit Saturday, and after I stripped the paint off the wheels... car is in the shop as we speak, and I will be repainting the wheels the same color after it gets out of the shop:

Koni Sport yellow shocks are the only ones I know of that have notches/c-clips for the spring perches to sit on. The Koni spring perches are not welded to the shock body like on most OEM-style shocks, and the different notches allow you limited height adjustment.

I would raise the front first if your hitting.

PatrickGSR94 how much is your car lowered from stock? I am trying to gauge "drops" and I like your ride height. Just curios if that is 1.5", 2" or more.

sorry to jack the thread.

i think patricks car is prob a 2" drop or maybe slightly more based on how nicely it sits on those 50 series tires...

on a side note, patrick, i like the rims stripped! (back to stock)...not that it matters what i think

Well I didn't measure before lowering, so I guess I'll never know for sure, but I'd say it's around a 2" drop all around. The H&R Sports are supposed to lower 1.5" in back, but I dropped the rear Koni spring perch to the lowest setting to even out the ride height. So yeah, after settling I'd say it's around a 2" drop.

no you wouldn't, this is what the wheels actually look like right now:

Oh yeah, my front mudguards would scrape over the slightest bump or dip in the road, and it irritated the **** outta me, which is why I took them off in front. I left them on in back because it completes the rear wheel arch and looks better to me, not to mention keeping the rear bumper cleaner. As you can see there is about 1" clearance with them on:

This is another reason why I think the H&R springs are too soft for the amount they drop. I think the mudguards wouldn't scrape as much with stiffer springs like custom rate GC's, set to about the same drop as what I have now.

Patrick, in the instruction sheet I got w/ my neuspeed Konis they illustrate that the middle pearch is actually stock height. So there are two notches to go lower and two notches to go higher.

Also when I intalled my ITR springs and Koni Yellos I set the perches on the middle stock height and got a pretty even drop all around. However that's probably a bit different with the H&R sports.

My mudguards scrape too, but I don't care, as long as it's nothing important.

I don't think I can raise the front if what PatrickGSR94 said, so I'll look into dropping the rear and see if that helps.

All good about jacking the thread, as long as useful information is being shared.

It said that for the front shocks as well as the rear? Two lower and two higher? Someone in the roadrace forum said the front Neuspeed ones just add 3 more notches in between the 2 used on the OTS Konis (stock and 25mm lower). O well I donno, I'm getting GC's anyway.

Would someone please verify this information? I am looking to get a strut that has an adjustment setting higher than stock. Thanks.

Thats correct. OTS konis have 1 setting higher, neuspeed's have 2 settings higher
