Called dealer won't come in till June, STI will have to be imported...... Is it even possible? Why can't America have cool stuff like that over here!!

the sti IS going to be here this summer. GET ONE. besides having 300hp and 300lbs. of torque, you'll have a turbo and LSD covered by warranty. and of course you do know that you can adjust the front/rear wheel power ratio from the drivers seat don't you? rsx vs. sti is no question (if you can find one).
the only thing is that the STi will prolly cost you 10grand more than a Type S...
i have a type S now and i love it, but i am seriously considering buy one when it drops.. with all the extra's it has it is worth it// I am going tomorrow to put my name on the watting list..although i am only about 97% sure ill get it.. but they dont know that

they are totally different cars with totallt different prices!!!!! I love Honda's but the Sti and WRX for that matter are good cars! The only thing is: I've worked on my friend's WRX and it is a bit difficult to work on....everything is very cramped in the engine bay---replacing the sparkplugs requires removing the air intake box, battery, and windshield washer resevoir! LOL-- The small modification we've made to his car have done well. I think the biggest problem would be availability of parts, for a decent price! Either way, they are both cool cars...the Sti is tempting though.
One worry I have with the STi is that with the newly design 2.5L engine that only available in the North America, the available of parts from the JDM land will be very limited.

Honestly, if you're trying to decide between these two completely different cars, I think you need to step back and take a look at your needs, uses, and financial situation.

i think maybe you should compare the evo and the wrx. that would be a better comparison cuz the type s in naturaly aspirated and the wrx is turbo, so of course the wrx is going to produce better numbers. just my $.02

The luxury of leather wrapped recarro designed seats with the other amenities offered on the RSX makes the STI look like a turbo charged trailer trash version of a 2.5 RS. You might go past me on the highway but I'll always know whose the loser with the stripped down interior and the overworked engine....

So I guess the STi's Ecsaine-upholstered seats - which happen to bear a striking resemblance to RSX seats - aren't good enough, eh?
Don't be such a zealot.
