Default How realible is my basemap?? Should I avoid driving?

I have a 1999 Civic Si
Garret T3/T4 turbo
Tial wg, maxrev dp, maxrev mani,
RC440 injectors.

I got a basemap installed in by Payn Technologies in my Hondata 2B. Yes, I DO plan on getting it tuned, but Payn is in the process of moving to a new shop and their new AWD mustang Dyno won't be installed till March 28th. I have a schedule tuning appointment at Payn on March 30th, so the new dyno should be up and running by then.

Anyway, I'll probably be pushing pretty low psi around 5 or so, even though, I got a basemap put in, I don't know how drivable my car is. I know Payn is a great tuner, but how should I treat the car until I get it fully tuned?

drive it like a grandma. No need to risk blowing it over 2 weeks.

I guess I will also now how the basemap is when I get the turbo fully installed and running with the Hondata. If the car seems to run pretty smootly with no bad idle's or jerking, does that mean I'm okay to drive it tame?

Stay under vtec?

I assume if the car has stalling problems and irratic idle, I should stop huh?

The basemaps are set to be rich and on the safe side, BUT...every car is different and a few mods can easily chage things overall.

Stay out of VTEC, stay out of boost and you will be fine. If you have another car to drive, drive it and spend the two weeks cleaning and tweaking

avoid driving your car with the base map unless it's really necessary.

Actually, I DO have another car to drive, I've been drivign around in my 99 CR-V. It is one of th emost boring cars I have ever driven, the new 2003 CR-V's are a lot more fun. I guess I will just avoid driving it for the time being. No point in killing my brand new turbo Si...

.. man.. 2 1/2 more weeks. This is going to be the longer 2 1/2 weeks of my life!

I'm going to keep myself busy with videogames, lots and lots of videogames. Avoid playing Gran turismo, cuase that will remind me of my car.
