Pics of my HID's
Finally got a hold of a digi cam... Got the 8000K Kit... yea i know it doesn't have as much output as the 4300k but im in the process of receiving some 4300K in the mail that i purchased... but they look pretty white when they hit the wall...
So watcha guys think?
Yeah i know they have a glare to em and the cut off is horrible... im in the process of fixing that too
so dont point out the obvious lol...

Yep what you said about the glare and cutoff, other than that they're cool. 8k is kinda high for me though.

i would hate to drive towards you or in front of you..
also.. good choice on the 4300K's .. i saw a supra tonight with 8000K HID and his output was dimmer than stock halogens.. i mean, i know it has like 400 more lumens than a stock 9006 bulb, but the dark blue light on the ground hurts more than it helps.. i was laughing at him for wasting so much money to put such crappy HID on such a nice car..

I don't have any first hand experience with these, but it seems like they'd do the the trick.

are there any problems with ur 9005 conversion? Cause i heard that the 9005 are only made for high beams and not made to stay on for long so the bulbs blow out quickly... is that true? and u did a 9005 HID conversion?

I totally agree with you.. the 8000K blues might look nice, but light output is bad... the road absorbs the blue too much... its like using a regular flashlight and if u used a blue flashlight... which one do u think will help u see better?
oh, and i never said they look nice.. haha i dont even think 6000K looks nice.. anything that doesnt have the look of 4300K is ugly to me..
Take a picture of your cutoff line when you are sitting inside your car.
It looks as though the cutoff on the wall pics is scattered really badly.

thats wat happens when u use stock housing... im in the process of looking for some hid projector retrofit for my car...

you heard it right here newbies.. all u idiots that try to argue with me and tell me that 8000K kits are better than halogen.. this guy has them and he compared them to a normal household flashlight... hmmmmm..

I originally wanted to go with 6000k bulbs because I love the intense purple color but I'm afraid to attract the wrong attention. So I think I'll go with 4300k. Get the added benefit of the better lumens.
This is a really intense 6000k...

9005 silverstar conversion sucks
i did it and both bulbs burnt out within 2 weeks of each other, only 4 months after they were installed correctly (no finger prints). And of course no warranty.
If your too cheap for HIDs just stick with the right bulb for the righ job non of this hack job conversion crap.

Wow... those are purple man... my 8000K doesnt even output that much color... my light output is a white/blue color when it hits the groud and objects in the road.
for the 6000K's if they are that purple... You can't even see the road with those puppies... I always thought they would be more white because they are 6000K but i guess not... My 8000K's are even more white then those...

who are you to say im cheap? just cause i don't want to spend hundreds on a mod that won't make me any faster? i get good enough light output with the 9005 conversion. please think before you type next time.

gg glare
Did you adjust your beams??? That's too much. But I do like the color even though 8000K has almost 50% less lumen intensity...
