high compression and fuel help

Default high compression and fuel help

Need help, just instaling Toda forged pistons 12.4:1 CR. Also have highe compresion with my spoon headwork..

Australias octane is rated at 98. Do I need to add octane booster.. or will I have problems with pinging and knocking....

Thanks for the imput guys and NO I don not want to run afgas!!!!

98 sounds coo for 12:1,
not so sure about higher

You should run bigger injectors. I would suggest 310 cc/min ones.

You should also have a fuel pressure regulator and some sort of computer like Hondata to control the fuel.

High compression N/A motors tend to suffer from pre-ignition with lower (<94) octane. With 98 you should be fine though.

dont waste your time with octane booster. its not gonna help unless you get the real stuff

How do Austrailians rate their octane? RON? I don't think your 98 oct gas is the same as if it were sold in the states and rated 98.

Can someone help out here?

AU rate it RON and USA rate it AKI

AKI = RON+MON/2

So, basically his 98 is our 93.

you should be fine, i know there are a lot ppl running high compression and using 91's here, all depends on tunning
