Not exactly. I am still a little confused to what it actually is. I didn't get to talk to my guy as long as I would have liked, but I do know it is not just a 60-1. I will get more details tomorrow for sure.

that is definitly not a 60-1. It looks like a GT40 wheel in a .70ar to me. just a wild guess though. let us know what it is kyle when u find out.

just thought i would pipe in as my turbo is almost the same.
that looks like a that pb business except i would say that that IS NOT BALL BEARING! the center section is much bigger than mine and the oil return flange is diff..unless they amke ball bearings in these new turbos with big housings? which wouldnt make sense.

i dont think it is.
the center section is much too big(ie NOT ball bearing)
and on the exhaust there is that little square thingy..
shouldnt be there if it was a true gt30/35.
its got the comp but thats where the similarity ends.

gt30 left.
thanks vapor trail for pics

it looks like the peak boost turbo(gt series comp mated with a regular t3 exh side like the 57 trim there)

Garrets being making a 63 trim compressor wheel for quite sometime....All of a sudden it s new craze with Precision Turbo using there wheel, this somehow brand new garret turbo that cheapturbodot.com sells now too.

I willing to bet that its just a normal t3 exhaust housing with a stage 5 back wheel and 4 bolt discharge (.63 or .82 doesn't really matter either I'm sure are available. On the compressor side it looks like just a new .70 a/r to4s housing machined out from the normal 60-1 wheel with a 63 trim wheel in side of it. **** if you want to see something weird come check out a 63-1 I have with a .50 a/r compressor housing machined to hell with that same 63 trim wheel inside of it.

Good call! Didn't catch that.

With that said, I will assume that it is the turbine side of the Garrett T3/60-1's mated to a GT35 compressor side, hence the larger GT40 compressor wheel in the GT35 compressor housing and the non ball bearing center section with the presence of a 360* thrust bearing.

just FYI the 63 trim wheel ur speaking of is not a 63trim. It has a 63mm inducer but when u measure the trim(ind^2/exd^2)(100) it comes out to a 56 trim. The 2.4/3.2(63mm/81.5mm) is a GT40 compressor wheel. This is the same wheel that is used in the precision SC61 and the garret GT35R. It also looks like the same wheel as in the PB70. I think the PB70 is basically a GT35R w/ out the ball bearing. I also think u r right about it using just a regular stage 5 wheel on the exhaust side rather then the 84 trim GT wheel the GT35R uses. Its a nice turbo, but I dont know where CheapTurbodotcom got the idea that it flows 70lb/min. There are no published ratings on these new wheels yet but most I have seen rate the GT40 wheel to 60-65lb/min.

kyle did u measure it yet? my money says its a 2.4/3.2 (gt40 wheel)

EDIT after reading CT.com's post below: soundeffects- I thought u were talking about the GT40 wheel that comes in the GT35R and SC61 cause that is the wheel that is part of the new precision craze. I wasn't aware that there was a 63 trim w/ 67mm inducer out. that is fawkin huge!!!!!! you said they have been using it for awhile, i am curious on which turbos?

So, this PB70 is more or less the same turbo as the Precision SC61?

The SC61 is $750
The PB70 is $999 or $1,175

Hmmm. . .
