2) yes, i have a couple sites wit pics that show install, but i am not home so IM me and i will send u a link when i get home later tonite. ok?
2.5) K&N sells a kit specifically for cleanin their filters, and it comes wit the liquidy thing that you put on afterwards to act as an added barrier against smaller dust particles that might otherwise not be kept out by jus ur filter element. But i believe AEM even sells a similar kit, but i could be wrong.
Any more questions?

after reinstalling the oil pan bolt, fill your engine with 4.5 quarts of the liquidy thing
or
pour the liquidy thing on your girlfriend and rub vigorously

...besides, i think i gave helpful info to the member who was askin these questions. don't you think so?
Although I did think the post about the 'liquidity thing on your girlfriend was pretty funny...
I think I will take the advice given by a few members and have someone else install it...I don't want to risk fuggin it up (i thought it was going to be easy...kinda like the written instructions shown in one of the posts, lol)
It really isn't that hard. I am sure one of the members here will do it for you if you supply the beer. If you are local I will do it.
OOPS! I see you are in Canada. But there are plenty of folks up there that can do it.

i'm glad my responses were of some use to you, but really consider installin it urself... if you were in socal hell i'd let u do it at my house and i'd help ya wit it... i did mine on my LS and my roomate did his on his gsr so you have 2 guys here wit experience haha.. and its one of the easiest things to do.. but IM me and i can answer any more questions u have...
I'll put my $.02 in as well. AEM usually doesn't provide Vacuum hoses that are 1)long enough or 2) the correct size. Yoy may have to go search for the correct size and length line to connect your valve cover and intake.
PS DONT BUY A BREATHER!!!!
PS DONT BUY A BREATHER!!!!
For the Type R, the nipple on the AEM is positioned so we really don't need complete replacement vacuum/coolant hoses. The hose AEM gave me wasn't long enough so I just cut it short and attached it to the stock piece. Didn't even need to touch the coolant hose.
:fizzle:
Even my roomate with a blingin' slizzamed Civic Si wouldnt take it for his car

AEM provides instructions in the box. And a sticker
You're forgetting the license plate frame.

i did pretty much the same thing as surferx... seriously.. there is no point undoin the coolant line and having it spill everywhere hahaha...
I have short air on my car from a GSR. I dont think the CAI make much of a difference at all to spend that kind of money on an intake. It does look purty though.

Here's a how:to on installing an AEM intake. Hope that helps.
I changed the coolant line and valve cover line because I felt that this would help in future intake changes. Which eventually did come in handy.
