OK I have an 88 dx hatch and a 92 cx hatch. I took the seats out of my 92 cx hatch and replaced them with gsr's. The 88 has battery acid on the front seats.

So can I swap the 92 seats into the 88 without any troubles?

 

Nope. The front two bolts should bolt up, but something custom will have to be rigged for the rear.. I had a custom bracket welded so they'd work.. I got it done nice and cheap for a lot of work, but otherwise I'd say its not worth it.. My 91 DX seats were the ugliest things ever though, and I got the 92 Sis for cheap so I put them in anyway.

how much are front ef vinyl seats going for? I mean i don't have to pay for the seats, since they're out of my EG. but if i can just pick up grey vinyl ef seats for cheap i'd just do that

 

i just bent my (eg)
brackets in the rear and added a bunch of washers to even it out. prolly stupid, but o well.

 

can i fit the old rails onto the eg seats?

 

why don't you just get the ef seats rewrapped in leather/vinyl? ef seats are nice maaaaan

 

the EG seats are gonna sit up a lot higher.....I did that in my 90 civic hb before and ended up taking them back out cause I didn't like it.

 

hmm. I see. maybe I'll just go to the junkyard and try to find ef seats. Actually, there are teg seats in there now, with the wrong headliners. the previous owner fooked it up. It's ok though, I didn't pay a lot for the car. I just need to get stuff in there so I can sell it.
