itr LSD in a LS tranny?
yup
The final drive of an LS is 4.266. The final drive of a GSR/ITR is 4.400. The final drive ring gear of the ITR LSD only fits on a 4.400 differential. That, in turn, only fits on a 4.400 countershaft.
So what you would need to do, is to somehow acquire the countershaft and final drive ring gear from a 4.400 FD equipped transmission. You can get these from a GSR or ITR. I don't remember exactly, but a B16 might have it as well.
Once you have the 4.400 countershaft, slide all your LS gears on. The mainshaft of the LS can stay the same.
Depending on the application for the car, you may want to keep the lower FD ratio. To do this, just swap the ring gear off of your stock open diff onto the limited slip and drop it in.
